It’s . . . delusional. And riddled with red flags and problematic power dynamics. But they’re also just as anti-work as pro-housewife, and on that point I can’t totally blame them (even though please, for the love of god, at least stash away an emergency divorce fund).

(MIT Review) Highly recommend Ben Kesslan’s story on the wildly flawed paper by an obviously biased researcher that legitimized the conspiracy theory of “rapid-onset gender dysphoria,” or ROGD, and launched a thousand transphobic laws, TERF wars and anti-trans parent groups. It’s a stark example of the “misinformation afterlife” of bad research and a primer in transphobic dog whistles.

This week in Big Tech doing the bare minimum. (Axios) Yelp will begin soft flagging crisis pregnancy center listings, and I say “soft flagging” since the alerts will merely inform users that CPCs “typically provide limited medical services and may not have licensed medical professionals onsite.” So basically, they’re leaving it up to context clues.
TEENS NEED PLAN C, TOO. (WaPo) At 10 weeks pregnant, a Florida teenager could’ve safely self-managed the abortion she wants had she known about and had access to Plan C pills. Instead, due to the state’s restrictions on minors seeking abortions, an appeals court denied her request on the basis that she wasn’t “mature” enough to choose abortion—the same reason the 16-year-old cited for why she shouldn’t be forced into teen parenthood.
